Who We Are
Many adults remember the after-school JA Company Program of the past, when volunteer mentors guided students to start and run their own businesses selling everything from picture frames, wreaths to lamps based with repurposed electric meters. JA volunteers entered the classroom in 1975 and has since broadened its scope to include a full K-12 blended learning curriculum.
In 2004, with game-changing leadership gifts from James W. Robinson, J. P. Morgan Chase and Sam Swope Auto Group, JA brought the experiential learning programs, JA BizTown® and JA Finance Park® to Kentuckiana. These programs, adopted by the major local school districts, brought exponential growth to the organization.
